Summary
This route, related to "The Roman house in Veneto – I", shows the most remarkable examples of Roman houses in Veneto. It enables us to discover the organization of the space, the structure, the decoration of the rooms and everything related to the domestic life. This route includes both the archaeological findings of some wonderful houses (Altinum, Opitergium and Concordia) and the opportunity to view the material found inside these buildings (mosaics, remains, decorations, daily objects) at the Oderzo and Portogruaro Museums.

NOTE LOGISTICHE
This route (by car) should last one day; total journey length: about 70 Km. From Altino follow the signs to the A4 in the direction of Trieste; exit in San Donà-Noventa and follow to Ponte di Piave (SP 34) and Oderzo (SR 53-Via Postumia). It’s possible to park in the car park near the Civic Museum Eno Bellis, from here go on foot to reach Via Mazzini and Via dei Mosaici. To reach Portogruaro take the SR 53-Via Postumia until the city centre; at the roundabout turn left in Via Stadio and at the following roundabout turn right in Via Borgo S. Nicolò-Via Seminario. To reach Concordia Sagittaria, follow the signs. It’s advisable to park your car at the “parcheggio nord” (Via S. Pietro) from here go on foot to Via dei Pozzi Romani.
